Although PVC hoses can be produced in black color, it can be recognized from the type of material and physical properties that the hose is PVC.

Methods of identifying rubber, thermoplastic and PVC hoses

 

PVC hose has many similarities to hoses that have rubber in their structure.

The first main difference can be considered the type of material, PVC hoses are significantly stiffer than rubber hoses.

PVC hoses usually have a drier material.

PVC hoses have less flexibility and elasticity than rubber hoses.

PVC hose does not have high elasticity.

PVC hoses have a wide variety of colors.

And the main difference between these products is the price, which is much lower.

One thing that should be noted is that if used correctly, PVC hose, which is almost one fifth of the price of rubber hose, can have up to 70% of the life of rubber hose.

But it is difficult to distinguish between thermoplastic hoses and rubber hoses. Because both have similar physical properties and at first glance you may not notice the difference. But it can have very small differences in elasticity, stretch and flexibility.
